New websiteWe're happy to announce that our new website is now public at brighterplanet.com. We hope you'll find easy to use and informative—please let us know (by replying) if you have any suggestions. One of our favorite new features is the impact estimator—use it to see what kind of a difference you could be (or are) making with a Brighter Planet™ Visa® credit card.
New product: Check CardThe Brighter Planet Check Card was launched in Bank of America branches in February. We can now also take online applications, too. As with the credit card, you'll be helping to build a network of renewable energy projects across the country with every purchase.† —the team at Brighter Planet |
Our tip of the month is a simple one: appreciate your municipal tap water. Manufacturing plastic bottles and transporting bottled water consumes massive quantities of fossil fuels and produces greenhouse gases. This is in spite of the fact that municipal water is at least as safe as bottled water. Sign up for a Brighter Planet profile to set this as a goal or to record that you've already done it. Here's a podcast with founders Andy and Jon talking about how to get to a clean-energy future. Already have our credit card? Link your card to your profile to get daily offset progress updates. Don't have one yet? Check it out, we think you'll like it. |
